Job Summary
Troubleshoots, repairs, and rebuilds propane and diesel forklift engines while diagnosing failures and maintaining all associated systems and parts. Conducts regular inspections to identify issues, performs routine maintenance including oil changes, lubrication, filter replacement, and battery maintenance, and uses hydraulic jacks to access the underside of units. Monitors and manages parts inventory levels and supplies needed for maintenance and repairs. Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 100 pounds regularly; must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Must provide and maintain personal maintenance tools.
- Read, write, communicate and comprehend the English language in order to perform the various tasks of the job, including but not limited to: converse with co-workers and members of the general public; understand oral and written instructions as well as governmental regulations; respond to questions and inquiries from management and government representatives; and accurately review and complete various documents, reports and records required of the position.
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years of forklift mechanic experience.
- Proficiency in diagnostic software.
