Mechanic for Southern Electric Corporation

Analyze malfunctions and repair, rebuild, and maintain motor vehicles, construction equipment, cranes, power shovels, and aerial lift equipment ranging from 1/2 to 10 ton GVWR. Operate and inspect machines to diagnose defects, dismantle and reassemble units using hoists and hand tools, and test overhauled equipment for operating efficiency. Perform daily walkarounds, routine inspections, and maintenance while adhering to all company safety policies and OSHA standards. Assist with assembly, disassembly, and service schedules, including welding broken parts, adjusting brakes, and rewiring ignition systems. Load and unload equipment, secure loads on trailers, and perform general cleanup. Maintain a valid commercial driver's license and attend prescribed training classes as needed.
