Mechanic Field Service Technician III

Job Summary
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair engines, engine components, and related equipment at customer locations. Perform complex mechanical repairs, conduct preventive maintenance, and assist lower-level technicians while ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards. Identify and order parts, replace defective components, and complete work orders and timesheets accurately. Maintain a clean work environment and follow all safety procedures. Requires a high school diploma, three to seven years of mechanical repair experience, and technical certification in automotive or diesel engine repair. Prior diesel engine rebuild experience is required, along with a valid driver's license and ability to use diagnostic tools.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3–7 years of related mechanical repair experience
- Technical certification in automotive and/or diesel engine repair
- Prior diesel engine repair and rebuild experience required
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to utilize laptop computers and portable diagnostic tools
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Dependable and trustworthy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Basic computer navigation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience servicing engines, engine components, and heavy equipment
- Ability to mentor and assist junior technicians
