Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair food processing and packaging equipment to ensure maximum reliability and minimize production downtime. Diagnose and fix mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems while responding promptly to equipment breakdowns. Install, adjust, maintain, and repair production machinery, conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues, and complete work orders and repair documentation accurately. Maintain a clean, organized shop and follow all GMP, OSHA, and food safety regulations. Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, Sanitation, and Safety teams, recommend equipment improvements, and perform assigned duties. Bilingual in Spanish and English; experience in food manufacturing preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a food manufacturing or production environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and conveyor systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial production equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Experience completing preventive maintenance programs and work orders
- Bilingual in Spanish and English required
- Knowledge of GMP, OSHA, and food safety regulations
- Ability to work independently and respond effectively to equipment emergencies
- Willingness to work overtime or flexible schedules as needed
