Job Summary
Perform all equipment repairs and maintenance for Industrial Services sites, including brake pads, rotors, alignments, and tire changes. Operate shop equipment such as grinders, compressors, and jacks while examining protective guards and adjusting safety devices. Execute on-site and on-road repairs, reviewing and signing off on Driver Pre-trip and Post-trip inspection reports. Comply with DOT regulations, USE Management System policies, and OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour training. Maintain a safe work environment using appropriate PPE and lift 75 pounds repeatedly. Work in a fast-paced environment with flexible scheduling, including weekend on-call availability.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be able to lift and or move 75 pounds repeatedly (e.g., grease drums, vehicle parts, grader blades)
- Must be able to obtain Transportation Worker (TWIC) clearance
- Must have working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, etc.
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 Years hands on experience as a Diesel Mechanic
- Experience is a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to work in fast paced, high stress situations
- CDL (A or B) with tanker endorsement
- Technical skills
- Profound ability to make decisions and work independently with little direction from management
- Must be flexible with schedule and be able to be 'on call' on weekends or as needed
- Pass a Pre-Employment Background Screening
- Pass the Company's Auto Insurance Qualifiers
- Pass the OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour training
