Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and maintain complex diesel engines, braking systems, fuel systems, and hydraulic components to minimize downtime. Replace worn parts such as gaskets and alternators, and perform routine inspections to prevent future failures. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions while maintaining accurate records of repairs and maintenance schedules. Adhere strictly to safety protocols and regulatory compliance during all activities. This role supports operational efficiency by keeping the fleet in excellent working condition through expert mechanical skills and proactive maintenance strategies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or similar role working with diesel trucks and heavy machinery.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, braking systems, fuel systems, and hydraulics.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles as needed.
- Expertise in brakes, diesel engines, and fuel systems
- Knowledge of hydraulics and braking systems
- Skills in handling gaskets and alternators
Desired Qualifications
- Certification from a recognized automotive or diesel mechanic program (e.g., ASE certification).
