Job Summary
Mechanic - Construction Equipment needed to inspect, diagnose, and repair construction equipment and machinery. Responsibilities include routine maintenance, servicing, repairing or replacing defects, basic fabrication/welding, maintaining service records, and ensuring safe, compliant work. Must read schematics and service manuals, troubleshoot hydraulic/electrical/mechanical systems, and work both independently and as part of a team in outdoor conditions. Location: New London, NC. Compensation based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a heavy equipment or construction mechanic
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and service manuals
- Basic welding and fabrication skills preferred
- Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
