Job Summary
Perform sheet metal modification and installation, replace pipe gaskets, and prepare flange faces for proper fit-up. Complete chiller valve replacements and install flanged couplings, torquing hardware to documented specifications. Execute strict Lockout/Tagout procedures to isolate energy sources and verify zero-energy states. Read job documentation and communicate status, material needs, and field issues to the supervisor. Maintain a clean, safe work area while using appropriate PPE and tools. Support troubleshooting and basic mechanical service tasks within skillset. This role works safely in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and active job sites. Requires hands-on experience in mechanical service, piping, or HVAC. Ability to lift 50 lbs, work at heights over 30 feet, and travel to construction sites as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in mechanical service, piping, HVAC mechanical, or industrial maintenance
- Working knowledge of flanges, gaskets, valves, and mechanical connections
- Proper tool use including torque tools
- Jobsite safety practices and hazard awareness
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work safely in active job environments
- Ability to travel to construction sites as needed
- Ability to understand oral and written instructions
- Effective verbal communication
- Compliance with company dress code and appearance standards
- Visual acuity for reading small print and identifying details on equipment and drawings
- Ability to bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs frequently and over long distances
- Ability to work at heights over 30 feet and climb ladders or stairs
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and environments
