Job Summary
Mechanic role responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, overhaul, and repair of heavy haul vehicles, commercial ready-mix mixer fleets, and heavy earth-moving support equipment across multiple active project environments. Duties include ensuring delivery trucks operate reliably, performing fleet preventive maintenance and emergency field support, troubleshooting complex drum rotation gear drives, pumps, and hydraulic lines, maintaining FMCSA logs and DOT records, and ensuring safety and environmental policies are followed. The position requires outdoor work, long/unpredictable hours, CDL considerations, and coordination with Maintenance leadership to minimize breakdowns and keep deliveries on schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- valid driver''s license
- Class A or B commercial driver's license preferred
- 3 years experience directly related to the duties or mechanics
- heavy equipment diesel engines and transmissions
- outdoor work in all types of weather
- ability to lift 100 pounds
