Job Summary
Mechanic responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, overhaul, and repair of heavy haul vehicles, commercial ready-mix mixer fleets, and heavy earth-moving equipment across multiple active project environments. Performs regular fleet preventive maintenance and emergency field support, troubleshooting complex drum rotation gear drives, transit water pumps, and hydraulic lines to ensure delivery trucks operate without breakdowns. Maintains fleet safety, conducts heavy engine, brake, and chassis interventions with proper equipment, and keeps FMCSA logs and DOT records updated. Reports to the regional Maintenance Manager while coordinating with the Driver Lead and site teams; promotes a culture of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver's license, Class A or B commercial driver's license preferred
- 3 years experience directly related to the duties or mechanics school graduate (Heavy equipment diesel engines and transmissions)
- Requires working outdoors in all types of weather conditions
- Ability to stand for long periods, stoop, crawl, bend, lift 100 pounds unassisted
- Adherence to safety protocols and PPE usage
