Job Summary
Mechanic responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy haul vehicles, commercial ready-mix mixer fleets, and heavy earth-moving support equipment across multiple project environments. Duties include preventing breakdowns to keep delivery routes open, performing regular fleet PMs and emergency field support, troubleshooting drum rotation gear drives, water pumps, and hydraulic lines on wet-mix and dry-mix trucks, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance (FMCSA logs, DOT inspections), coordinating with Maintenance Manager and Driver Lead, and upholding safety, health, and environmental policies. Strong emphasis on outdoor, weather-exposed work, long/unpredictable hours, heavy lifting, and adherence to PPE requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Class A or B commercial driver’s license preferred
- 3 years experience directly related to the duties or mechanics
- Outdoor work in all types of weather conditions
- Ability to lift 100 pounds unassisted
- Adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirements
