Job Summary
Mechanic role in Big Spring or Garden City, TX, performing mechanical work on fixed and rotating equipment including compressors, engines, pumps, turbines, valves, and associated electrical equipment. Responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, maintaining, installing and repairing structural, mechanical, electrical and well equipment, generating work logs and service orders, and maintaining reports. Position may involve DOT-related responsibilities and travel to multiple locations; relocation to the area is preferred. Requires 2+ years’ experience with mechanical equipment and experience with natural gas-powered engines (including CAT 3500/3600) and Ariel compressors. Strong emphasis on safety, regulatory compliance, and ability to operate in a fast-evolving energy environment. Physical demands include standing, climbing, lifting, bending, and occasional travel; employees must be able to work in various outdoor and indoor conditions. Required Qualifications
- Experience in use and function of hand and power tools and equipment
- Experience servicing, maintaining and repairing equipment
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, drawings, charts, diagrams, gauges, warranties, quotations, procedures and equipment manuals
- Ability to communicate effectively and respond to emergencies
- Ability to work in confined spaces and perform precise tuning/timing work
- Knowledge of safety policies and procedures
