Job Summary
Mechanic B responsible for preventative maintenance and repair of Herc Rentals’ heavy equipment at the branch. Duties include maintaining a consistent preventive maintenance schedule, operating and testing equipment to meet quality standards, diagnosing engines, hydraulics, electrical, and fuel systems, performing major repairs with minimal supervision, conducting oil changes and part replacements, processing warranty-timeframes for parts and labor, entering work orders and ordering parts via the fleet management system, reconditioning parts, producing service reports and repair logs, and assisting in training C-level mechanics while following branch, regional, and national procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in heavy equipment repair
- Ownership of sufficient selection of hand and air/electric tools
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs
