Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and maintain GFL's Diesel and CNG fleet by conducting basic inspections of brake systems, engine components, and emission systems. Perform standard electronic diagnostics, test drive trucks to identify malfunctions, and execute DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles. Complete work orders, order parts, and perform daily administrative duties while ensuring safe working conditions and compliance with DOT, OSHA, and federal regulations. Requires a valid work authorization, Class A or B CDL preferred, and 3+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a Brake safety certificate
- 609 A/C system certification
- Knowledge of DOT, OSHA and other related state and federal regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the organization and communicate with customers and external vendors
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals
- Must be computer literate
- Willingness and ability to be trained in software systems
- Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred, or the willingness and ability to obtain one within six (6) months of employment
- ASE certifications preferred
- 3+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience
- Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using diagnostic software is preferred
