Job Summary
Diagnose and repair late-model vehicles by performing mechanical, electrical, and ADAS-related services at customer locations throughout the San Antonio market. Troubleshoot suspension, steering, and general automotive issues using scan tools and OEM procedures while maintaining accurate documentation. Support ADAS calibration operations and learn advanced diagnostic procedures as skills develop. Work independently with a mobile team, managing daily workloads and communicating professionally with collision centers. Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends; earning potential of $80,000–$125,000+ plus a potential sign-on bonus for highly qualified candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Professional automotive repair experience
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Experience working with modern vehicle systems
- Ability to use scan tools and automotive service information
- Experience with suspension, steering, electrical, and general mechanical repairs
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to fixing vehicles correctly
- Professional communication skills
- Dependability and strong work ethic
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Professional basic automotive tool set, including common hand tools, sockets, wrenches, impact tools, ratcheting wrenches, and commonly used mechanical specialty tools
- 3+ years of professional automotive repair experience
- Monday–Friday schedule
- No weekends
- Mobile/field-based work
- Monday–Friday
- Start time: approximately 7:30 AM
- Typical end time: approximately 5:30–6:00 PM
- Comfortable traveling between customer locations and managing a changing daily workload
- Adaptable, communicate well, and can shift gears when an important customer or job requires immediate attention
