Job Summary
Assist mechanics in performing vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and repairs while preparing and organizing tools, parts, and equipment needed for repair jobs. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks, and document all work performed and report any issues or parts needs to the lead mechanic. Clean and maintain the workshop area to ensure safety and efficiency. This foundational role provides hands-on experience in automotive or mechanical repair environments, supporting experienced mechanics to ensure efficient maintenance and repair of vehicles and machinery.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of automotive or mechanical systems
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions
- Valid driver's license
