Job Summary
Mechanic (Apprentice - Master) to inspect, repair, and service MTTA vehicular equipment, including diesel, gasoline, and CNG engines; rebuild engine parts and bus components; service electrical systems, brakes, and driveline; perform road calls and troubleshooting; report to work reliably; requires a high school diploma or GED, 3 years of diesel/gas engine repair experience, and a CDL with passenger endorsement plus CNG certification within 6 months; OSHA- and safety-conscious with ability to lift 70–100 lbs and work in varying conditions. Location: Tulsa, OK; benefits include health, life, AD&D, pension/457b, and a sign-on bonus up to $5,000.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- three years of diesel and gasoline engine repair experience
- troubleshoot automotive and bus electrical systems
- standard mechanical hand tools and experience using them
- CDL Class A or Class B with passenger endorsement
- CNG certification or plan to obtain within 6 months
- Forklift license preferred
- no moving violations within last 3 years
- no DUI/DWI convictions
