Job Summary

The Mechanic I at Peak Utility Infrastructure is responsible for maintenance of fleet equipment and trucks, ensuring all are in good working order and coordinating repairs. Key responsibilities include performing diagnostics, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting electrical issues, and ensuring DOT compliance. The position requires two years of relevant experience and familiarity with mechanical systems, as well as the ability to work with hand tools and lift varying weights. Candidates must have their own tools and pass background checks.

Required Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of experience in fleet and construction equipment diagnosis, troubleshooting and repair of both gasoline and diesel engines
  • Experienced with electrical, hydraulic and suspension systems
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver’s License
  • Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Must provide own tools

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiar with DOT requirements and inspection processes
  • Good computer skills (parts ordering, email, internet navigation)
