Mechanic A - Diesel / Pumps / Trailers - Afternoon Shift

Job Summary

Maintain and repair chassis components, refuse bodies, air brake systems, engines, HVAC, and suspension/drivetrain/steering systems on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks. Identify malfunctions using electronic tools and perform line maintenance welding and fabrication. Complete applicable company training programs and perform other job-related duties as assigned. Work a regular afternoon shift with direct supervision from a Lead Technician, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager. Support drivers running routes on state-of-the-art vehicles within a stable industry.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks
  • Ability to perform inspections and repairs without supervision in some (not all required) of the following heavy truck, or automotive systems: Suspensions & Steering, General Engine, Transmissions, Brakes, Electrical, Hydraulics, Drive Train, Diesel Emissions
  • Valid Driver's License

Desired Qualifications

  • ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8)
  • LNG and/or CNG experience
  • Class B or higher Commercial Driver's License
