Job Summary
Operate, test, maintain, and repair safety shutdown systems, rotating equipment, and mechanical machinery on offshore production platforms. Monitor control panels, liquid levels, and flow rates to keep equipment within designed operating ranges while performing preventative maintenance. Diagnose mechanical issues by observing devices and listening to operational sounds, then repair seals, align shafts, and adjust clearances per manufacturer specifications. Record all work performed and maintained data into work management software and logs. Work a 14x14 schedule from a terminal in Houma, LA, with no sponsorship available.
Required Qualifications
- Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 3-5 years offshore mechanic experience on a production platform
- Experience working on production platform equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- 5-8 years offshore experience on a production platform
- Solar Turbine experience
