Job Summary
Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs conveyor and related material handling equipment. Performs preventative maintenance on automated sortation equipment and building systems. Requires broad knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, pneumatics, carpentry, welding, and battery maintenance; able to operate cutting torches and welding equipment. Demonstrates carpentry and fabrication skills in wood or metal, reads and interprets drawings, and communicates effectively. Must lift up to 75 pounds, work at heights or in unusual positions, and maintain safe work practices in an industrial environment. Three+ years in industrial maintenance with experience across electrical/electronic systems, welding/fabrication, HVAC/refrigeration, plumbing, electrohydraulic and mechanical drive systems; adherence to OSHA/NFPA standards and MSDS familiarity. Includes promotional path to higher maintenance roles and comprehensive benefits. Location: Bridgewater, VA with schedule Friday–Sunday, 5am–5:30pm; starting salary range $61,000–$82,100 per year; testing at Massanutten Technical Center required with a score of 75% or higher.
Required Qualifications
- Three years experience in industrial maintenance field with demonstrated preventative maintenance experience in material handling systems
- Proven proficiency in electrical/electronics, welding/fabrication, HVAC/refrigeration, plumbing, electrohydraulic, mechanical, and electrical drive systems
- Familiarity with OSHA/NFPA standards
- Must be able to operate all shop equipment and hand tools
- Must be able to read and understand drawings, i.e., architect, mechanical, plumbing etc.
