Job Summary
Conduct service, repair, and overhaul of aircraft accessories including electrical, fluidpower, interiors, and mechanical systems. Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble components while utilizing OEM and engineering drawings to modify parts. Troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues and perform operational tests to ensure airworthiness. Read manufacturer manuals, service bulletins, and specifications to determine repair methods. Communicate progress and difficulties to co-workers and leadership. Complete job assignments accurately and on time. Works under minimal supervision with intermediate knowledge of assigned aircraft areas.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Airframe and/or Power plant License
- level of skill customarily acquired after one year as a General Mechanic
- three years of related commercial / military aircraft experience
- equivalent combination of education and experience
