Job Summary
Mechatronics & Robotics Technician – 2nd shift at JLL in Burton, MI. Responsible for repairing and maintaining material handling equipment, automated packaging systems, and pneumatic systems across a fast-paced distribution environment. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems, install and maintain conveyor systems and controls, read blueprints and electrical schematics, and document maintenance in CMMS. Role includes mentoring junior technicians and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure safety and operational excellence. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years in industrial repair and maintenance, and flexibility to work 2nd shift, including weekends, nights, and holidays. On-site located in Burton, MI with no visa sponsorship. Physical demands include lifting up to 49 pounds and repetitive movements in a 10–12 hour shift; travel up to 20% may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience repairing material handling equipment in an industrial or distribution environment
- Minimum 2 years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures with proper documentation practices
- Ability to work flexible schedules and shifts including weekends, nights, and holidays to support 24/7 operations
- Physical ability to lift parts and tools weighing up to 49 pounds; stand and walk during 10-12 hour shifts; and perform repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, and maneuvering in cramped spaces
