Job Summary
As Assistant Operations Manager at MECCA Canberra, you will partner with the Operations Manager to drive operational success, lead and develop a team of Operations Specialists, train staff on operational processes, manage end-to-end stock and inventory (live, non-line, and collateral), ensure OH&S compliance, lead stock takes and LP compliance, and oversee visual merchandising to meet standards. You will apply strong retail operations knowledge, leadership, and process improvement (Lean) to deliver smooth store operations, achieve KPI targets, and enhance the customer experience.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in operations, with at least 1 year managing teams in a retail environment
- Demonstrated ability and a passion for leading and motivating a team, driving operational excellence and delivering on sales and KPI expectations
- Strong stock and non-stock operations knowledge, with the ability to empower store teams to ensure effective and consistent operations across the store
- Exceptional communication and organisational skills
- A meticulous attention to detail and passion for problem solving
- Familiar with process optimisation (Lean) – highly desired
