Test drive vehicles and examine them to determine damage, malfunctions, or system failures. Repair, replace, and adjust brakes while performing routine maintenance like oil changes and tune-ups. Tear down faulty assemblies for power, steering, and linkages, then reassemble units after inspecting parts for wear. Align front ends and follow checklists to ensure belts, hoses, and fuel systems are safe. Confer with customers to obtain problem descriptions and discuss future repair requirements. Maintain work area cleanliness and perform other relevant duties as they arise.
