Job Summary
Meatcutter (Experienced Journeyperson) in a fast-paced retail meat department. Responsibilities include making standard cuts on beef, veal, lamb, pork, poultry, and seafood; providing customer service; ensuring department operations, sanitation, and safety standards; stock displays; manage orders and inventory; train and supervise staff; and uphold department procedures. Requires strong knife skills, knowledge of Department of Agriculture sanitation guidelines, ability to work weekends/evenings, and ability to work in cold environments. Pay is hourly with a min/max rate of $21/hour and annualized $43,680; capable of standing, lifting up to 80 lbs, and operating cutting tools; bilingual or strong English communication preferred.
