Job Summary
Meat Wrapper is responsible for unloading meat from trucks, staging items in coolers/freezers, weighing, wrapping, labeling, and merchandising meat products. The role includes operating slicers, grinders, scales, price-marking machines, and case cutters; lifting up to 50 pounds and stocking shelves up to 6 feet high; working in refrigerated environments from 0 to 55 degrees; assisting customers with selections; logging spoilage and item sales; and performing cleaning and sanitation tasks. Proficiency with basic math (read/write, add/subtract/multiply/divide) and following verbal/written instructions is required. The position includes shifts of up to 8 hours and may involve travel to/from work. The role also covers routine tasks like dating/rotating stock, weight/price labeling, and stocking pre-packaged meat items.
