Job Summary
Meat Wrapper needed to unload truck shipments, stage and weigh meat items, package and merchandise products, and stock shelves. Responsibilities include operating slicers, grinders, scales, and labeling machines; weighing and packaging meat items such as steaks, ground meat, roasts, lamb, veal, and pork; reconditioning product; assisting customers with order selections and suggestive selling; logging spoilage and item sales; maintaining product freshness and sanitation; stocking pre-packaged meat items; rotating stock and checking date codes; performing sweeping, mopping, case cleaning, and general cleaning; lifting and stacking up to 50 pounds; working in a refrigerated environment from 0 to 55 degrees; read and write, perform basic arithmetic, and follow verbal and written instructions; and travel to and from work. Shifts are typical, with a minimum 8-hour shift expected.”,
