Job Summary
The Meat Wrapper is responsible for wrapping, weighing, pricing, and labeling meats and related products. Key functions include ordering supplies and communicating low stock items, stocking the display case, and maintaining cleanliness. Candidates must have the ability to work in extreme cold conditions, handle products with dexterity, and lift up to seventy pounds. Excellent customer service skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and write to properly tag products
- Must have dexterity in hands to enable the wrapping and handling of products
- Ability to be exposed to extreme cold while handling frozen or refrigerated meats
- Ability to go below minus fifteen degrees below zero (-15 degrees) up to five percent (5%) of the time during an eight (8) hour work schedule
- Ability to lift up to seventy (70) pounds at least forty percent (40%) of the time
