Job Summary
The Meat Wrapper is responsible for wrapping, weighing, pricing, and labeling meat and related products, as well as ordering supplies and maintaining stock in the display case. Key responsibilities include communicating low stock items and temperature failures to the department manager, greeting customers, providing courteous assistance, and maintaining cleanliness in the work area. Candidates should have the ability to read and write, dexterity in handling products, and the capacity to work in cold environments.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and write to properly tag products
- Must have dexterity in hands for wrapping and handling products
- Ability to be exposed to extreme cold handling frozen or refrigerated meats
- Ability to lift up to seventy (70) pounds at least forty percent (40%) of the time
