The Meat Wrapper is responsible for wrapping, weighing, pricing, and labeling meats and related products while ensuring compliance with company standards and health regulations. The position requires effective communication regarding low-stock items, maintaining cleanliness, and providing customer assistance. Essential skills include the ability to lift heavy products, work in cold environments, and basic reading and writing skills for product tagging.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and write to properly tag products.
- Must have dexterity in hands to enable the wrapping and handling of products.
- Ability to be exposed to extreme cold while handling frozen or refrigerated meats for at least fifty-five percent (55%) of the time during an eight (8) hour work schedule.
- Ability to go below minus fifteen degrees below zero (-15 degrees) up to five percent (5%) of the time during an eight (8) hour work schedule.
- Ability to lift up to seventy (70) pounds at least forty percent (40%) of the time.
