Job Summary
Wrap, weigh, and price all meats and related products while maintaining standards according to market operating procedures. Control damaged and spoiled products, verify received inventory against vendor invoices, and ensure proper product rotation. Clean and sanitize preparation areas, maintain good housekeeping, and monitor cleaning supply levels. Assist in training teammates, implement merchandising plans, and communicate with the Meat Manager regarding store feedback. Constantly interact with customers and teammates to ensure Lowe's expectations are met and safety standards are followed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a apprentice/ training program or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of various cuts and types of meat products and recommended uses or cooking methods
- Knowledge and ability to operate meat department equipment
- Ability to read and write English
- Good customer relations skills
- Must posses basic math skills
- Ability to calculate mixture ratios when preparing cleaning solutions
- Must be able to lift 50-100 pounds of force occasionally
- Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds of force frequently
- Must be able to lift in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly
- Must be able to climb
