Job Summary
Meat Wrapper handles fresh meat and other meat products, ensures safe, sanitary, and efficient operation of the meat department, wraps and prices cuts, labels per COOL/USDA standards, maintains displays and signage to maximize sales, assists with product ordering, and upholds cleaning, sanitation and inventory procedures. Candidates should demonstrate teamwork, effective communication, basic math skills, and the ability to follow company policies and procedures while ensuring quality and customer service in a retail meat environment.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years old
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in grocery perishable department or meat wrapping preferred
- Proficiency in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
- Must read, write, and speak in English
- Ability to be dependable and flexible; willing to work in other areas as needed
- Some travel may be required
