Job Summary
Meat Wrapper handles packaging authorized beef, pork and poultry items according to company policies, wraps, weighs and prices cuts, and labels packages per COOL, USDA and company standards. Responsibilities include updating displays and case signs to maximize sales, assisting with product ordering, maintaining proper date rotation, preparing and placing meat cuts to appear attractive to customers, receiving and inspecting deliveries to maintain cold chain, and ensuring sanitation and quality standards. Requires reading/writing English, basic math, teamwork and effective communication; Spanish language skills are a plus in certain locations. May work location flexibility as needed and some travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in grocery perishable department or meat wrapping preferred
- Proficiency in basic math skills
- Read, write and speak in English
- Language proficiency in Spanish or other languages are a plus in certain locations
