Job Summary
Maintain stock levels and ensure accurate pricing by replenishing products, rotating items according to date, and removing expired goods. Assist guests with locating items, fulfill special orders, and address concerns by applying the boomerang service principle. Wrap meat and seafood in appropriate packaging while inspecting products to ensure quality control and proper temperatures. Keep inventory levels for containers, wraps, and tags; maintain food safety logs; and support teammates in a fast-paced environment. Work shifts from 12 pm to 8 pm including weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Must be available 12 pm - 8 pm, including weekends
- Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with customers and all personnel
- Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to handle a diverse crew in a highly stressful environment
- Complete understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policies
- Must possess the ability to apply on-the-job safety training to recognize and react to possible safety hazards on store premises
- Proper training and knowledge of slicers
- Proper training and knowledge of proper lifting techniques
- Proper training and knowledge of trash compactor
- Proper training and knowledge of baler
- Lifting up to 80 pounds on an occasional basis
