Job Summary
Greet, assist, and answer customer questions about Mackenthun's meats, fish, and signature items while merchandising the front service case. Package product for customers, prepare and merchandise the fish and service cases, and maintain sales floor standards. Stock refrigerated and freezer cases, rotate for freshness, and wash/sanitize meat equipment. Assist meat cutters with product cutting, support the Meat Department Manager with promotion ideas, and ensure safe food handling and clean-up. Work 40 hours weekly including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Full-time role offers medical, dental, vision, 401k, and a 10% employee discount.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be skilled in basic math
- Must be able to clearly speak, read and write the English language
- Must be able to work with and around machine noise in hot or cold temperatures, on terrazzo flooring in a smoke-free facility in a multifaceted and fast paced environment
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals
- Availability Needed: 40 hours a week with Daytime & Evenings, Weekend and Holiday work
Desired Qualifications
- Previous Meat/Retail experience preferred
