Job Summary
Meat Seller responsibilities include serving and assisting customers, providing product information, organizing and cleaning display cases, preparing marinades, maintaining the carnitas prep area and freezers, rotating products, arranging merchandise, maintaining inventory, and optimizing sales. The role requires basic math, ability to read at an eighth-grade level, knowledge of weight measurements, and a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Work environment involves keeping the meat market area clean, safe, and compliant with safety standards, and reporting faulty equipment or hazards to management. Perform any other tasks as assigned by the store manager.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read at an eighth-grade level
- Basic knowledge of mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
- Knowledge of the weight measurements
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
