Job Summary

Lead the Meat Department by cutting, weighing, and preparing various meat cuts, following established guidelines for value-added products, recipes, and proper handling. Responsibilities include cutting, trimming, and boning carcass sections or prime cuts for cooking, grinding and traying meats to specification, pricing and wrapping per guidelines, rotating and merchandising shelves, communicating with managers about orders, and assisting with other departments as needed. Maintain knowledgeable product familiarity, perform suggestive selling, ensure PPE and safety compliance, and uphold food safety and cleaning standards. Requires High School diploma or GED; 1 year of retail or related experience preferred; prior Meat Cutter/Apprentice experience strongly preferred. Physical requirements include lifting up to 30-50 pounds, standing/walking for extended periods, and working in varied temperatures. Travel requirements vary by assignment. Required Qualifications
