Job Summary
Meat Clerk position at Sprouts Farmers Market responsible for delivering high levels of customer service while handling meat and seafood products. Responsibilities include receiving, storing, grinding, and preparing meats; counting and weighing items; rotating stock; assisting customers and processing special orders; maintaining knowledge of weekly ad items; following food-safety procedures; adhering to department procedures like Clean as You Go and Fresh at 4; and working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 90 lbs, operate equipment such as band saw, grinder, sausage maker, tenderizer, and pallet jack, and flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays. 18+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent and basic math skills are required.
Required Qualifications

- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays

- Ability to work in a team environment
- Standing for up to 4 hours per shift and up to 8 hours per shift
- Able to lift/carry products 25-90 lbs
- Able to use pallet jack and move pallets up to 500 lbs
- Able to move racks and tables up to specified weights and distances
- Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment
- Comfort with sharp knives and related equipment
