Job Summary
As a Meat & Seafood Clerk, you’ll prepare, package, and display meat and seafood products while maintaining high standards of quality and food safety. Responsibilities include inventory management, providing customer service, and ensuring cleanliness in the department.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in meat or seafood preparation, grocery, or food service preferred
- Understanding meat and seafood types, freshness indicators, and safe handling practices
- Ability to assist customers with product selection and provide helpful cooking or preparation tips
- Familiarity with sanitation standards and procedures for handling raw products
- Ability to maintain clean displays, monitor product quality, and follow packaging guidelines
- Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs. and working in refrigerated environments
- Willingness to support fellow associates and contribute to a positive store culture
- Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy
