Stock meat department cases and rotate product to meet customer demand while ensuring freshness and proper pricing. Greet shoppers, answer questions about cuts and preparation, and take orders for future delivery. Resolve customer concerns promptly and maintain necessary logs for quality tracking. Grind and cut meats, weigh and wrap merchandise, and apply correct price stickers. Adhere to food safety codes, perform general sanitation, and follow cleaning schedules for work areas and equipment. Handle spoiled or damaged product, dispose of trash, and empty bone cans. Report shortages or overages to the manager and assist with receiving, unloading, and storing deliveries if trained. Cooperate with co-workers to ensure smooth department function.
