Meat Sales Associate

Stock meat department cases and rotate product to meet demand while ensuring freshness, proper signage, and saleable condition. Greet customers, answer questions about cuts and preparation, take delivery orders, and resolve concerns promptly. Set up displays, weigh and wrap merchandise, and apply correct price stickers. Maintain logs for freshness and quality, adhere to food and safety codes, and ensure general sanitation including cleaning schedules and proper trash disposal. Handle spoiled or damaged items per company procedures, minimize shrink, and report shortages. Assist with receiving, unloading, and storing deliveries using power or hand jacks if trained, and help with baling cardboard. Cooperate with co-workers and superiors to ensure smooth department function while utilizing all provided personal protective equipment.
