Job Summary
Collect meat from holding coolers, re-stack and space materials for airflow, and accurately dump specified raw ingredients. Mix meat based on formulation sheets, place mixed product into tanks, cover with sheets, and label containers. Operate and monitor large-scale commercial mixers, grinders, or blenders using control panels or computer terminals to set parameters. Use a handheld scanner to issue materials in the DEACOM ERP system, input finished goods, and de-issue materials. Maintain accurate production records for ingredient usage, batch numbers, weights, and quantities. Assemble machines as required, including grinders and tumblers. Ensure acceptable housekeeping of the working area free of slip and trip hazards. Adhere to all food safety, quality, and occupational health standards while working in a fast-paced, refrigerated environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to handle heavy lifting of up to 30kg boxes and stand for extended periods
- Must possess and maintain valid hand truck and forklift certifications
- Proven ability to understand and follow safety and work instructions in English
- Ability to work well under pressure and with little supervision
- LANGLEY, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in manufacturing or food/meat production is preferred
- High school diploma or Grade 12 equivalent is preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting, ability to work accurately and reliably
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
