Job Summary
Perform meat counter duties including receiving and completing grocery orders, slicing/cutting meat to customer specifications, weighing and pricing, stocking shelves, and assisting with food preparation. Maintain sanitation and follow DoH food safety guidelines. Provide excellent customer service and work with team to ensure smooth operations. Operate deli slicer (manual/automatic) and band saw; process transactions at the cash register; relocate to Philadelphia, PA for a full-time role at Dave's Meat Market.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred
- Knowledge of basic math for portioning and pricing meat
- Operate a mechanical cash register
- Operate Credit Card processing terminals
- Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift heavy objects
