Job Summary
Lead day-to-day department operations in a retail store by ordering and maintaining inventory, validating received orders, and managing team staffing, training, and performance. Execute weekly and period flight plans, implement work schedules, and monitor department goals and forecasts while ensuring product freshness, quality, and date-sensitive rotation. Maintain a clean, attractive department, enforce food and safety guidelines, and communicate with associates during daily huddles and meetings. Develop and monitor department plans to meet company key performance indicators. Requires high school graduation, two years of retail experience, and proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Located at 3950 E Galbraith Rd in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate (Required) or Equivalent (GED)
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
- Ability to work in a typical retail store environment (varied temperatures)
- Ability to be exposed to outside weather conditions
- Ability to tolerate a noise level in the work environment that is usually low to moderate
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of retail experience preferred
- One-year supervisory experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication, and bookkeeping skills
- Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem solving and conflict management skills
- Strong leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment
- Good strategic planning and business acumen skills
- Good knowledge of retail store operations; knowledge of retail management systems
- Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate in Spanish
