Job Summary
Directing and managing all aspects of the Meat Department to achieve sales and profit goals, including preparing schedules, working on merchandising plans, managing inventory, controlling expenses, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. Responsible for supervising, training, and conducting performance reviews of Meat Department personnel, maintaining department image, and ensuring quality and safety in meat handling.
Required Qualifications
- High school education minimum requirement
- At least two years experience as a meat cutter
- Ability to read and write to properly tag merchandise
- Above average analytical skills to interpret reports
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for customer interaction
- Dexterity in hands for cutting and trimming meats
- Ability to lift up to seventy (70) pounds at least forty percent (40%) of the time
