Job Summary
Meat Helper role supporting the Meat Department at Food City by delivering courteous customer service and maintaining product quality. Responsibilities include greeting customers, ensuring self-service products are properly packaged with correct weights and ingredients, following food safety programs, stocking and rotating products, organizing cooler displays, assisting with light meat cutting, receiving/ordering processed meats, maintaining correct pricing, keeping display areas neat and clean, ensuring proper code dates, and sanitizing the department at least twice daily. The position requires on-site attendance for scheduled shifts, adherence to time and attendance policies, and teamwork to create a positive, customer-first environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis
- Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies
