Job Summary
Meat Helper needed for Food City to provide friendly customer service and maintain proper packaging, weights, and prices in the meat department. Responsibilities include greeting customers, assisting with stocking and rotation of products, maintaining cooler organization, light meat cutting, receiving/ordering processed meats, ensuring accurate pricing, preserving cleanliness of display cases, ensuring proper packaging for self-service items, maintaining correct product dates, and adhering to the Food Safety program. On-site attendance during scheduled shifts is required; the role supports a positive, customer-first environment and a flexible, teamwork-driven workplace.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis
- Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies
- Follow company Food Safety program
- Assist in stocking and proper rotation of products
- Maintain neat and clean appearance of all display cases
- Maintain good code dates on all product in display cases
- Assist in making sure that all packaged products for self service are in proper package with correct weights and measures regulations
