Job Summary
Meat Helper needed in Gadsden, AL to support Food City Meat Department with customer-focused service, stocking, product rotation, light cutting, and adherence to food safety standards. Responsibilities include greeting customers, ensuring proper packaging and weights for self-serve items, maintaining display cases, monitoring product freshness and code dates, assisting with ordering/receiving processed meats, keeping work areas clean, and helping sanitize the department at least twice daily. The role emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and a positive, friendly atmosphere while supporting on-site shifts and company time-and-attendance policies.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis
- Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies
