Job Summary
Meat Helper at Food City responsible for delivering friendly, customer-first service while supporting the meat department. Duties include greeting customers, providing prompt and courteous service, stocking and rotating processed meats, ensuring proper packaging and correct weights and pricing, maintaining display cases and code dates, following the Food Safety program, assisting with light cutting, and keeping workstations clean. The role supports on-site operations during scheduled shifts and participates in a team-oriented, positive-store environment with flexible schedules and company-wide benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions
- Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies
- On-site availability for scheduled shifts
- Ability to maintain proper packaging, weights, and ingredient compliance for self-service products
- Experience or ability in light cutting work
- Attention to cleanliness and sanitation of workstation and display areas
- Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks with constant interaction with coworkers and customers
